Autumn

Finally! time for boots, jackets & scarves! Definitely looking forward to wearing some fur (faux of course) leather & a wide range of BOOTS!!! This season will require an army green coat preferably rather androgynous, a quirky hat & a leopard scarf, most likely some studs thrown in there, DIY is a lot more likely to happen when its cold out. in the lust department, hanging out for some studded boots or any Chloe inspired boots really, thinking buckles & embellishments & anything cowboy related. Also, still on a t-shirt & jeans buzz so always on the hunt for both.

Happy New Year!

New years was super! went to Mangawhai, about an hours drive from Auckland City & stayed in a cutey cutey little cabin. The weather was amazing & i managed to not get too sunburned for once! New years eve we went to the gig at the local tavern which was actually pretty rad, not too packed, full of good people having fun. We then proceeded to watch the sun come up which was spectacular. All in all a great start to 2010.

Christmas!

7 hours, three Christmases, lots of food, sweet presents, and gorgeous weather, what a great day. Having Christmas in summer is awesome for many reasons 1. BBQs 2.driving around the city all day is much more pleasant in the sunshine 3. eating lunch in the sun (twice) is a great opportunity to get a head start on tanning, or burning for me.
hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas or Christmas eve and thank goodness its over for another year PHEW!

Fleetwood Mac!

Holey moley i am still in awe, Stevie Nicks sounded absolutely amazing, and dedicated a song to Trelise Cooper, it was cool to see that they actually knew about anyone or anything from N.Z. They were quite chatty through the whole gig taking time between songs to talk about when the songs were written and some flashbacks to the past.

Lindsey Buckingham absolutely blew my socks off, that man is a guitar god and combined with the drumming genius that is Mick Fleetwood was absolutely phenomenal. John McVie as usual was very quiet but totally rocked the bass. They played all the songs we know and love and even though it rained through the whole gig the surroundings and the sound quality at the Bowl of Brooklands was amazing, the rain didn't seem to put anyone off and wasn't hard enough to be unbearable. I can't think of a better place to have seen them and it was totally worth the drive from Auckland to New Plymouth and back. If you ever have an opportunity to see them DO IT!

Beyonce + Lady Gaga = sexxxxxy

not really a Beyonce fan, Lady Gaga however, whole different story. I reckon Gaga & I could totally hang out BUT that is not the point of this post. The point is that after reading The Shoe Girls recommendation i watched the video for Video Phone & the verdict is HOT DAMN! that Beyonce has one bangin' body & knows how to work i. i like the styling, particularly her scanty little military inspired outfit & her cutey cutey little Bettie Page fringe next to Beyonce, Lady Gaga looks like a scrawny little white girl (sorry Lady, or is it Gaga?)and i hate to say it but it kinda would have been alright without her. Anywho, give it a watch & lemme know what you think!

Topshop seem to have everything that i want and need ever, handily stored on the other side of the world. While shipping is an option, once converted into NZD and shipping added plus my habit of buying things and wearing them 3 times make it an economically un-viable option. However, i am free to browse the many pages of shoe porn they provide. also their jackets freakin amazing!

New Shoes!

I am officially the proud owner of these babies, they shall be semi-permanently attached to my feet. they're surprisingly comfortable due to the ginormous platform and wedge action and fit like a glove. now to try on everything in my wardrobe that they could possibly go with.
